6th Annual Pork in the Park Festival
The Sixth Annual Pork in the Park Backyard BBQ Festival will be held in the Hackensack City Park on Saturday, August 6. Gates open at 2 p.m. Come out and enjoy savory BBQ, live music, fresh corn on the cob and a beer garden until 6 p.m.
BBQ teams are wanted, entry fee is $150 (Mandatory) for ribs. Enter additional categories for chicken and pork butt for $25 each.
Prizes for each category are: Ribs, first place $500, second place $300 and $200 for third. Chicken and pork butt individually are $200 for first place, $100 for second and $50 for third.
The event is hosted by the Hackensack American Legion Post 202 and proceeds will benefit the Hackensack Legion Scholarship Fund.
