KIDS FISHING CONTEST
June 9 - Aug 25, 2009 ... every Tuesday - 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. – kids can bring fishing pole and their own life jacket. Life jackets are required, but some are available for loan. Free bait, minnow racing, casting contest, prizes awarded.
4TH OF JULY
…the Hackensack Chamber of Commerce presents fabulous fireworks at dusk. Always on the 4th!
SWEETHEART DAYS
July 4-8, 2009 …featuring kids games, horseshoe tourney, parade, street dance, and golf tournament
FALL HAS IT ALL
September 18-27 …which has included hiking, biking, car tours to see the colors, craft shows, and a spaghetti dinner.
NATIONAL CHAINSAW SCULPTING INVITATIONAL
September 25-27, '09…watch 10 of the top chainsaw carvers in the nation create masterpieces. It's art in progress. The best part is the auction of those pieces on the third and final day, where you can bid and hopefully purchase the one you like best.
Sweetheart Canoe Derby
June 20-21, 2009. Two days of canoe racing on Birch Lake and the Boy River. Minnesota State C-1 Championship and citizen's solo race begin at 9 a.m. June 20th. The State Mixed Tandem and Citizen's Tandem races start at 11 a.m. June 21. |
