As part of the Minnesota State Parks 125 Year Celebration, and featuring the Paul Bunyan Trail, a day-long ride beginning at each end of the trail will take place on Saturday, Sept. 10. At approximately 2 p.m. the event culminates with a
MEET IN THE MIDDLE in Hackensack.
Hackensack is situated halfway between Lake Bemidiji State Park to the north and Crow Wing State Park to the south. Stop and enjoy family fun activities in City Park along with food and drink specials from local merchants. For a prelude to the 12th Annual Chainsaw event Sept. 23-25, we will host a Chainsaw Quick Carve by local artists. Listen to a short presentation by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources at approximately 2 p.m. and enjoy cake and cookies to commemorate the day.
